Nos anos 90 fui transferido de Recife para São Paulo. Foi difícil acostumar-me com toda aquela correria. Mudança total profissional e de vida. Mas, só a vontade de vencer fez-me forte.
O maior problema era final de semana. Sem amizades, travava uma batalha ao imaginar: a praia de Boa Viagem, as peladas da Casa D’Itália nos sábados.
Porém, tinha que ir buscar meu lugar ao sol na terra da garoa.
Um belo dia após o expediente vi uma turma conversando sobre futebol. Aproximei-me do grupo escutei sobre um jogo que iria acontecer na próxima semana.
Ops, vou falar com Luís Carlos e pedir-lhe para colocar-me no grupo. Ele de pronto disse: claro Santana, até porque precisamos de alguém lá na frente.
No dia fomos para o jogo lá perto da Vila Hípica, campo de areia batida, iluminação fraca, mas feliz por poder entrosar com a turma.
Durante o jogo numa jogada mais ríspida entre Luís Carlos e o número 10 que desde o início achei familiar. Na confusão formada chego perto e digo: Teodoro(ex-São Paulo) não faça isso com o menino. Ele, olha pá mim e diz: ei rapaz, como é que é? E, eu, também fui profissional e sou amigo do Terto. Pô você é. Sou Fernando Santana do Santa Cruz. Nisso o árbitro Toíinho Brás(amigo meu de Recife), fala: vamos continuar o joguinho papo depois, ate porque no 2o tempo quero participar também. Ufa, Luís Carlos sem entender nada saiu dizendo: o baiano conhece todo mundo, mesmo chegando a pouco tempo em São Paulo. Após o joguinho a RESENHA e churrasco, uma beleza.
